A friend of mine has sent me a request: A friend of his has been wrongfully accused of distributing LSD in a state he has never been to, and is now serving a life sentence in a federal prison.
While serving his sentence he is allowed to crochet. So my friend has asked if I'd be willing to send him some printed copies of my patterns. He has also requested yarn. As you can imagine, it's probably difficult to obtain yarns, patterns and even hooks while in prison, and I couldn't imagine my life without them. So, of course I'll be sending as much as I can to him.
I've sent an e-mail to the prison asking if there are any limitations on what can be sentif the hooks need to be plastic, and if there are any fibers that are not allowed. I know patterns are okay, but I also have a collection of yarn that I haven't used in years. If I get a response about hooks, I may donate a few hooks to him as well.
If you would like to send any patterns to him, you can send it to:

I know if I were sitting in prison, I would be more than happy to receive anything crochet related. I'm happy to send anything I can to help brighten his day. Thank you for also considering sharing this lovely art with someone in need.
