New Pattern - Kanti Mama April 24, 2016 20:34
In fact, Kanti Mama was my original plan when I began knitting Kanti Baby. Kanti Baby started out as a swatch, to sample the construction for the Kanti Mama sweater. But I needed that swatch to be big enough to really get a grasp on the whole construction… so it morphed into a baby sweater. At the time, it seemed appropriate, since I was expecting!
Kanti Mama has a really fun-to-knit top-down construction, a pretty lace and cable panel, ribbing and Stockinette stitch. There is always something going on to keep the knitting interesting, but not so much that it's overwhelming.
The pattern includes instructions for cap sleeves or long sleeves, in ribbing or in Stockinette stitch. Over 40 test knitters knit the sweater before it was published! Many of their projects can be seen on Ravelry.
