Knitting from the top down makes this sweater easy to try on as you knit. There are some simple garter/rib panels worked along each raglan, with increases to each side. The rest of the sweater is knit in easy stockinette stitch with a little broken ribbing at the edges.

This yoke is knit from the top down, with raglan shaping. At the underarms the body and sleeve stitches are divided. The sleeve stitches are held while the body is knit. Then the sleeve stitches are placed onto dpns and knit in the round to the cuff. A circular needle is used on the yoke and body to accommodate large number of sts.
