The shape is relatively basic—circular knitting with a-line shaping to the underarms, with stitches cast on for little cap sleeves, and a slightly rounded v-neck. The beauty about this garment though, are the stitch patterns and the traveling cable around the neckline. The cable is a simple 4 round repeat, and although the lace is a repeat of 20 rounds, don't let that frighten you—every other round is knit all the way around, and it's pretty easy to memorize.
