Finished Measurements:
about 16" circumference at brim of tam; will stretch to 21"
about 6" wide and 59" long scarf
Yarn Requirements:
Madeline Tosh Sock
100% superwash merino
100 gram hank = approx 395 yards
• 2 hanks: composition book grey
Knitting Needles:
Size US 2 (2.75 mm): 16" circular and set of 4 or 5 dpns for tam; size US 3 (3.5 mm) straight for scarf
Or size to obtain gauge.
Notions:
smooth, contrasting color waste yarn; stitch marker; stitch holder or waste yarh; tapestry needle
Gauge: 34 sts and 44 rnds = 4" in lace pattern and 25 sts = 4" in k1, p1 rib with smaller needles for tam; 30 sts and 44 rows = 4" in lace pattern with larger needle for scarf. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
