Lydia is knit in one piece, without seams. The body is worked in the round from the lower edge to the armholes. Stitches for the back and one front are held. Stitches for the front sleeve are cast on and the front is worked to the shoulder. For one back sleeve, stitches are picked up along the front sleeve cast on, and stitches are cast on for the second sleeve, then the back is worked to the shoulders. The final front picks up stitches along the back sleeve cast on and is worked to the shoulder. The shoulders are joined with a three needle bind off, then the trim is picked up and worked in the round for a few inches.
