This pullover is worked in the round from the bottom up. The sleeves and body are worked separately. Stitches are held for the underarms and the sleeve and body stitches are joined and worked together for the yoke. Stitches are decreased to the yoke. The held underarm stitches are joined using the three-needle bind-off technique.
About the Symbolic Nature of this Pattern
This pattern has been written to include a symbolic story to encourage self awareness by using this project as a tool/mirror for self reflection. The symbolism of the Leaf Pattern is about getting to know yourself as you are. The sleeves represent what has been kept separate from who we are, and they join at the yoke, releasing what is no longer needed and coming into a harmonized sense of wholeness.
There is a summary of this symbolism and how to use it at the end of the PDF pattern (it’s not included with the free online version). And you're invited to join the 2023 Rebirth KAL, beginning March 21, 2023.
