About this pattern

The double-layered brim is worked in Stockinette stitch with smaller needles, then a purl round is made as a "turning round" where the brim is folded. The next layer of the brim continues in Stockinette with the larger needle, then stitches are picked up through the cast-on edge and worked with the live stitches to join the two layers. Crown stitches are decreased and ears are created, stuffed and sewn to the crown of the hat.

Eco Wool by Cascade
100% Peruvian Wool
250 gram hank = approx 478 yards
• 1 hank each 8457 Yellow and 8095 Black

Knitting Needles:
16" circular and double pointed needle in each size US 7 and 8 (4.5 and 5 mm)

Notions:
stitch markers; tapestry needle; poly-fill or desired stuffing material

Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rnds = 4" in Stockinette Stitch with larger needles. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
