The Jhana Pullover Pattern is here! July 19, 2021 11:21
The sweater that I'm calling Jhana was first published in the June 2016 issue of I Like Knitting. It's one of the myriad sweaters that has been returned to me from the publisher. Until now it's been patiently awaiting being republished as an individual pattern. And now it's here!
The construction is unique, beginning with the horizontal cable panel at the center. The upper and lower bodies are picked up from either side of the cable and worked up and down respectively.
At the underarms the upper body is divided for the back and front, and they are worked separately to the shoulders where they're joined using the three-needle bind-off.
The sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole edges and worked with some short-rows down to the cuff. As most of my patterns are, this one's seamless, except for a small amount of kitchener stitch to join the cable panel into a circle.
The Pattern Includes:
- Charted and written instructions for the cable panel
- Links to tutorials for the provisional cast on and three-needle bind-off.
- Beautiful photography by Carrie Bostick Hoge
- Tech edited and tested instructions.
- 8 pages of instructions
