YouTube and A Weekly Designing Vlog! May 12, 2020 19:52 1 Comment
A few years ago, I moved a few hours away from my weekly knitting group. While there are knitting groups near where I now live, I just haven't had the urge to get to know a whole new group of people. As some of the folks from my old knitting group might remember, getting me to come to the old knitting group was like pulling teeth. I'm just not all that social in real life.
But, I do LOVE to talk about what I'm making, and there hasn't really been an ear for it as I've been living in the woods, raising 2 young boys. Right now, with all the stay-at-home orders around the world, I'm sure so many of you can relate to how that might feel.
Maybe it's the state of the world that has inspired me to start this, or maybe it's something else—I can't say for sure. But my new(ish) phone has video capabilities, and we recently upgraded to high-speed internet and I'm feeling a surge to talk about everything that I'm knitting, crocheting and publishing.
So, this week I've started a couple really exciting things that I think you'll love:
• a weekly "Designing Update" video in which I tell you about all the things I've do in my knit & crochet designing world
• and a YouTube channel (to fill) with videos explaining how my sweaters are made!
In the weekly "Designing Update" video, I'm share things like WIP's, design submissions and acceptances, sneak peeks at WIP's and soon-to-publish designs, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of my working space(s), etc…
Here is a preview of this week's post:
Watch the whole video on Patreon and check out (and subscribe to) my YouTube channel for a new sweater video every Friday!
This weeks YouTube video will be about the Kanti Mama sweater! Subscribe and ring the notification bell 🔔 on YouTube to be sure you're informed when it's up!
And if you like what you see, please let me know! Hearing from you really inspires me to do more.
