New Rowan Designs! October 8, 2020 04:00

I'm super-duper-bouncing-up-and-down excited about sharing these designs with you! I've got to confess, that there's something extremely exciting (to me) about having some designs published by Rowan!

I've always sort of looked up to the Rowan designers like Martin Storey, Kim Hargreaves, Lisa Richardson, Georgia Farrell and Kaffe Fassett. And, I'm so honored to have been invited to join them in Issue 68 of Rowan Magazine!

A couple weeks ago, I mentioned how much I love top-down seamless knitting... These two projects are each constructed a little differently, but they're both top-down, making them easy to try on as you knit, to avoid the dreaded wonder if the sweater will fit!

So, without further ado, here are the two designs of mine that you'll find among these 39 new patterns:

Dunrobin

Dunrobin is knitted seamlessly from the top down, beginning with the shoulder tabs. The back, front and sleeves are worked together to the underarms, then the body and sleeves are divided and worked separately.

The classic centered cable panel is bordered by a textured broken ribbing. The sample uses Rowan's Felted Tweed yarn—a beautifully soft DK tweed yarn.

Kellie

The Kellie yoked pullover is also worked seamlessly from the top down using Rowan's Alpaca Classic yarn. There's such a lovely soft halo to this yarn, and the myriad colors can produce endless combinations in this design!

Both of these patterns, along with many other amazing designs, such as Pause by Erica Knight, Mellerstain by Amy Gunderson and Fyvie by Lisa Richardson may be found in the newest issue of Rowan Magazine—Issue 68.
