The ZigZag Cardigan in issue 103 of Simply Crochet October 29, 2020 03:30

Chevron and colorwork go together like bread and butter. The color changes accentuate the zigs and zags in the chevron pattern, which you can see clearly in my newest crochet pattern, from Issue 103 of Simply Crochet.

The ZigZag Cardigan is crocheted in pieces, using Scheepjes Stone Washed XL. The body is worked straight from the bottom up. The sleeves are increased from the cuff to the underarm, with some cap shaping to set the caps into the armholes.

There are four colors, distributed in equal length stripes. The sweater works up really fast, in the treble crochet (double crochet in the US) and eyelet chevron pattern. Changing colors as you go encourages you to want to crochet just another row… or another stripe before putting it down.

The buttonless open front looks great worn over formal and business casual clothes. Or… with so many of us working from home these days, it's a comfy sweater to throw on before a zoom meeting to dress up whatever you're wearing around the house.

This pattern has just been published in Issue 103 of Simply Crochet. You can get a printed copy of Issue 103 here.
